Astronomy Night & Star Party

Discover the historic Sandstone Ranch Visitors & Learning Center where you can experience hands-on displays about environmental features of the area while learning about early Longmont history. A nature trail takes you past several historical buildings, near the sandstone bluffs, and includes a scenic overlook and beautiful views. Numerous species of wildlife and birds can be seen in the area.

Astronomy Night:  7-9:30 pm Saturday, August 17.  Take a journey through our solar neighborhood and learn about the planets and beyond. Once it gets dark, we’ll head outdoors to take a look at the sky. Members of Longmont Astronomical Society will be there with telescopes for viewing. All ages welcome. Public Hours for All Ages

Drop in during open hours to explore a nature theme and walk at Sandstone. The House is open to the public from 10 am-2 pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.
