Bats Are Pollinators, Too!

We are celebrating the spooky season and national bat week a bit early! Kids are invited to learn all about bats and how important they are to our ecosystem. We will read a couple short stories with information about bats and how they are pollinators, too. The evening will be spent at Rogers Grove (Longmont’s very own pollinator garden). After reading the stories we will take a quick walk around our garden and see if we can find any plants we think the bats may like. Following the walk we will be staining a bat box and signing our names on it, which then our Forestry department will hang on a tree in the garden area. The stories will be read around a firepit and we will have hot chocolate for all to enjoy.

This event is free, but registration is required. Learn more and register at bit.ly/batspollinate2023.
