About This Event

Seicento graces the Stewart Auditorium with a refined and elegant program showcasing vocal and dance music from the French courts, including motets, a secular cantata, airs de cour, and choral works. They are joined by baroque dancer Elena Mullins from Chicago, who will perform Jean-Réry Rebel’s Les Caractères de la Danse in period costume, and by tenor Alex King, who will sing a cantata about a battle between Bacchus and Cupid for the hearts and minds of the vineyard workers.
