Fall Leaf Collection – North of 9th Ave.
Fall Leaf Collection – North of 9th Ave.
The City of Longmont offers residents FREE curbside collection of bagged leaves each fall.
Know the schedule, requirements and tips to be ready.
2021 Collection Schedule
- Leaves will be collected at residences located North of 9th Avenue Nov.1-5
- Leaves will be collected at residences located South of 9th Avenue Nov. 8-12
Guidelines
- Leaves must be bagged, no piles will be collected, paper bags are preferred to help reduce plastic waste
- All bags must be out before 7 a.m. on the MONDAY of your scheduled collection week and should be left out the entire week until collected.
- Place bags in front of your house by the curb – AKA “curbside”
- Bagged leaves will not be collected in alleys or on private property. Even if your trash/recycling collection occurs in an alley, you must place limbs curbside in front of your property for pick-up.
- Only one pass will be made through each neighborhood, so be sure to have leaves out before 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week
- Any leaf bags put out after the collection day will not be collected by the City and will be the responsibility of the homeowner
Tips
- Pick-up free leaf bags at the Waste Diversion Center (140 Martin Street) beginning Oct. 1 while supplies last
- For those that miss the curbside collection or prefer to dispose of leaves on their own schedule:
- The Waste Diversion Center accepts yard-waste all year long (no need to wait for the City collection!)
- Curbside composting subscribers can add leaves to their composting cart at any time (loose or in paper bags).
