Frank Lloyd Wright & The Prairie School (Cancelled due to illness)
Our Thursday, December 1 program “Frank Lloyd Wright & The Prairie School” has been cancelled due to illness. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to finding an opportunity to revisit this program in the future.
Frank Lloyd Wright & the Prairie School
Architectural historian Jack Quinan in conversation with Maria Cole, AIA.
Join us for a conversation with one of the foremost authorities on the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. The Prairie School, with Wright it’s most famous proponent, endeavored to evoke the wide, flat, treeless expanses of America’s native prairie landscape. According to Wright’s concept of “organic architecture,” a structure should appear as if were “married to the ground.”
Presented in conjunction with our current exhibition Tipi to Tiny House: Hands-on Homebuilding.
