History Tours at Sandstone Ranch

Spring at the Ranch – History Tours

Discover the historic Sandstone Ranch Visitors & Learning Center where you can experience hands-on displays about environmental features of the area while learning about early Longmont history. A nature trail takes you past several historical buildings, near the sandstone bluffs, and includes a scenic overlook and beautiful views. Numerous species of wildlife and birds can be seen in the area.

History Tours:  10:30 am or 12:30 pm Saturday, March 23.  Learn about the Coffin family, and what life was like in the 1800s for homesteaders and other groups of people in the area.  All ages welcome. Call 303-774-4700 or register online for this program.  $4/person suggested donation. 

Public Hours for All Ages

Drop in during open hours to explore a nature theme and walk at Sandstone. The House is open to the public from 10 am-2 pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. Beginning Wednesday, May 1, the House is open every Wednesday (closed July 3) from 9 am-noon.
