The City of Longmont’s Waste Diversion Center (WDC) will be closed Thursday and Friday, July 4-5, to all drop offs of yard waste, tree limbs, styrofoam, metal, food compost, plastic bags, batteries and oil. The WDC, located at 140 Martin St., will reopen for usual business hours on Saturday, July 6.

The self-serve bins in the front of the WDC will remain open for drop off of shredded paper, cardboard and single-stream recyclables including paper, plastics and containers. Those bins are available 24 hours per day.

Curbside composting, recycling and trash will not be collected on Thursday, July 4; those collections will take place on Friday that week.
