The City of Longmont will be burning the cattails in and around the pond at Quail Campus on Wednesday, March 20. This process is needed to increase the holding capacity of the pond for irrigation of the landscaping. Weather dependent, work will start in the morning and the entire operations is anticipated to take half of the day. The vegetation was not dry enough when attempted last fall and hopefully will burn quickly this time. Please contact Parks, Open Space & Trails with questions or for more information.
