Friday Afternoon Concert: WW5
Friday Afternoon Concert: WW5
Concert: WW5-Woodwin Quintet
From the court of a medieval king in Milhaud’s La Cheminee du Roi Rene, to a summer in the Colorado mountains in Ewazen’s Roaring Fork, to classics from Beethoven and Weber, WW5 offers up a concert to transport you in time and place. Grounded in a classical repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries, WW5 is a woodwind quintet with a contemporary sound that takes the audience outside the sounds of everyday life and infuses the imagination with new shapes, colors, contrasts, and ideas.
