Encouragement Board: Share positive messages with the Community

Join us on International Suicide Prevention Day and participate in adding messages to the Encouragement Board.

Need a lift me up? During September, Suicide Prevention month, you can stop by the Firehouse Art Center and pick up letters of encouragement and positivity. Take one and leave a preprinted one for the next person or write your own note to leave for the next person who needs encouragement. The encouragement board will be available beginning Tuesday Sept. 10 at the Firehouse Art Center, 667 4th Ave.

September is International Suicide Prevention Month. To support our community, Supporting Action for Mental Health has organized a month-long series of events and discussions about creating mental wellness. The activities aim to help residents recognize the tools they already have and fill up their toolbox with new tools to address a mental health challenge for themselves, a loved one or the community as a whole.
