Levels of Mental Health Crisis Care-Cancelled

The June 20th class has been cancelled. We will reschedule for sometime in September. If you would like to be notified when the new date is set please email Julie Phillips.

Did you take a Mental Health First Aid Class? Would you like to learn more about resources for crisis care in the Longmont community? Are you a community volunteer or professional who is uncertain about how to find help for a distressed person or someone experiencing a mental health emergency? Join us to learn about the Levels of Crisis Care available and discuss both the challenges and opportunities that arise in taking action to support community mental wellness and resiliency.

This seminar provides an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the Levels of Mental Health Crisis Care document created by Supporting Action for Mental Health and how it can be helpful in making decisions about seeking mental health care.
  • Understand what happens during emergency psychiatric evaluations at hospital emergency departments.
  • Learn what to do when someone needs professional help and refuses assistance or doesn’t follow through.
  • Discuss situations you have experienced as challenging or rewarding when using Mental Health First Aid skills or seeking assistance for yourself or someone else.

This event is free and hosted by Supporting Action for Mental Health.
