Planting Native Trees & Shrubs Volunteer Event
Planting Native Trees & Shrubs Volunteer Event
Join us in planting locally collected cottonwoods and willows along the western shoreline of Lake McIntosh. These native trees and shrubs are adapted to the local soils and climate. Once established, they will provide cover and movement corridors for wildlife including mice, voles, and amphibians.
Registration is required. Register through JoinUS — Parks, Open Space and Trails volunteer portal.
Please dress to be outdoors: bring sunblock, a sun hat, water, gloves, and wear close-toed shoes. We will meet at the Agricultural Heritage Center.
