Singer Mollie O’Brien and guitarist Rich Moore have steadfastly made it their mission to unlock the secrets of the diverse array of styles that comprise the canon of American Roots Music. Geniuses at interpretation and never sacrificing the essence of the songs they tackle, they are at home with their musical selves. They are unafraid of risk taking, authoritative in their performance and at the very top of their game. And to top it all off, they’re fun.
Brothers of Brass has grown to be one of the premier street bands in the country and are now taking it to the stage. Having already played some of Denver’s finest stages and released their first full-length album, “Street Life Vol. I,”, they are now on a mission to bring their music to stages across the U.S. and the world. With influences ranging from R&B to southern brass and psychedelic jam rock to trap hip hop, Brothers of Brass boasts an expansive musical lexicon with a little something for everyone.
The Mestas/Abbott Quartet plays beautiful and life-affirming songs from some of the most prolific composers of Latin American jazz: Moreira, Manzanero, Oscar Castro-Neves, Toninho Horta, and others from South America, Cuba, and Mexico. The quartet features Victor Mestas on piano, Mike Abbott on acoustic and electric guitars, Jill Fredrickson on drums and percussion, and Mike Facey on bass.

Thursday Nights at the Museum
The Longmont Museum exhibits and galleries are open until 9 pm on Thursday nights. Unwind after work with a beer or glass of wine and create art in one of our adult Art & Sip classes or join us for a Thursday Nights at the Museum program to see a movie, catch a great band, or hear extraordinary people talk about issues of importance to Boulder County and beyond.
