Who doesn’t love a handmade ornament or snow globe to commemorate the year past and welcome the new year ahead? Learn three techniques to create beautiful and trendy ornaments for your home.

Create bohemian style for your home this holiday season in our series of holiday décor workshops. Together we will handcraft tastefully trendy tassels and pompoms to create garlands, wreaths, and ornaments. Hints of glitzy gold and ruby red will highlight natural materials.

Supplies needed

The supplies listed below are included in the kit if one was purchased through the Longmont Museum.

• Red Heart brand Pom-pom and tassel maker or a fork from your kitchen
• Red and white bulky yarn (add in other colors if you wish)
• Red embroidery floss, string, or thin yarn
• Natural twine
• Gold string or thread
• Wood beads (various sizes and colors)
• Gold bells (various sizes)
• Cardboard shapes
• Small glass jar
• Quickset epoxy
• Cork
• Vegetable glycerin
• White glitter
• Small plastic deer
• Small synthetic tree
• Inspiration photos for ideas
