Virtual Lecture: Hamilton, the Founders, and Democracy

Not only is it everyone’s favorite musical, Hamilton says plenty about how we think—and how *we think* the Founders thought—about democracy. University of Maryland historian Richard Bell reads between the lines and tells us how it all comes together in Lin Manuel Miranda’s Broadway blockbuster.

Dr. Richard Bell is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Maryland. He is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and holds a PhD from Harvard University.
