Discover Neighbors Grant
Discover Neighbors, Discover Home is a small grant available to all residents of the City of Longmont to support activities that improve quality of life and help residents form a stronger sense of community with their neighbors. Apply today and discover the benefits of knowing your neighbors; a safer, healthier, and more stable neighborhood, a place that feels like home.
Examples of previously funded activities include block parties, potluck or picnics, block garage sales, neighborhood garden planting, ice cream social, outdoor movie night, and block cleanup.

How to Apply in Just Five Easy Steps (applications accepted all year)

- Engage your neighbors
- Submit an application and receive approval
- Submit a reimbursement request after your activity
- Plan the next activity with your neighbors and ask how to organize a neighborhood group to take advantage of more funding and resources
Selected Eligibility Criteria
- The grant is available to all residents of Longmont, but everyone on the block must be invited to participate in the activity
- One grant per block per calendar year but you may combine two adjacent blocks to double the grant (two applications required)
- Community and Neighborhood Resources determines the eligibility of all applications
- Download the street closure permit from the City Clerk’s website. This is required for all activities requiring street closure (allow 15 days for review)
