Concert in the Park

When: Thursday, July 4, 11 am–3 pm
Where: Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave

The Longmont Symphony Orchestra and Longmont Chorale will set a festive tone for the holiday with their annual Fourth of July Concert in the Park. This year’s event will be held at Roosevelt Park (700 Longs Peak Avenue). In addition to live music, fun activities will be provided, including the annual picnic contest. Picnic contest registration begins at 11 am, judging starts at 11:30 am, and prizes will be awarded for the best 4th of July themed food and picnic decorations.

Music performances and other special programming will run from 12:30 to 3 pm. Children will be invited to conduct the orchestra at 2:10 pm and the 1812 Overture, complete with cannons, will serve as the finale! Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, chairs, tents, and lawn games.

Hear the Orchestra Again

The Longmont Symphony Orchestra will also perform live music to accompany the fireworks show and approximately 9:30 pm on July 4. This performance will be held at the Street Party location, where the orchestra will be set up under the pavilion at Wibby Brewing (209 Emery St.).
