Following COVID-19 event guidelines, the 2020 Chick Clark Kid's Fishing Program season kickoff event, scheduled for Saturday, March 21, has been cancelled.
While there will be no official kickoff event this season, Izaak Walton Pond will be stocked with fish by Kid's Fishing Inc, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the City of Longmont. Fishing by those age 15 and under is allowed at the park. Social distancing guidelines encourage outdoor activities in very small groups.
The Chick Clark Fishing Program provides a special opportunity for Longmont youth (15 years old and younger) to learn how to fish, participate in fun outdoor activities and catch their own fish, year-round.
