UK, Feature Documentary, 98 minutes, 2026
With Emma Thompson, Kate Dickie and Keira Lucchesi
Spotlight on the Sundance Film Festival 2026
In May 2021, as dawn breaks on the first day of Eid, a U.K. Home Office immigration raid in Glasgow’s south side sparks an extraordinary response. When two neighbors are detained on Kenmure Street, word spreads rapidly through Scotland’s most diverse community. Within hours, hundreds of residents flood the street, surrounding enforcement vans and refusing to let them leave. What unfolds becomes one of the most spontaneous acts of civil resistance in the history of Great Britain. Everybody to Kenmure Street thrusts viewers into the heart of this electrifying standoff, capturing the fear, fury and fierce solidarity of ordinary people who defy deportation — and, in doing so, spark a movement that echoes far beyond their street.
