Mystery author Anne Da Vigo will appear to talk about her newest thriller, Night Flight. Night Flight is the twisty story of a fictional high school girl, Hannah Brightman, who becomes entangled with–and manipulated by–the real-life bomber, John Gilbert Graham. She must rebuild her life following the unfathomable tragedy.
The mystery was inspired by the Nov. 1, 1955 bombing of United Airlines Flight 629, which crashed in a sugar beet field six miles northeast of Longmont. The explosion killed all 44 passengers and scattered flaming debris in a wide area. The tragedy remains one of the most horrendous sabotage crimes of the 20th century and had major, long-term effects on the investigation of airplane crashes and the conduct of court cases.
As she researched the thriller, Da Vigo found eerie connections to the 70-year-old case. Da Vigo will share this and other details she gathered while researching the thriller.
Books will be available for sale at the event.
