Bike to Work Day Celebration Station

Wednesday, June 24 is Bike to Work Day stop by the City of Longmont’s Celebration Station at Civic Center Plaza (350 Kimbark St), 7 – 9 am and enjoy a free pancake breakfast provided by the Longmont Lion’s Club.

 

The City will be giving away free prizes, and the Longmont Bicycle Company will be onsite to provide free tech support to cyclists. Additionally, local groups and businesses will be hosting information booths and offering free samples and giveaways.

 

It is expected that thousands of Coloradans will participate in this summer’s Bike to Work Day. Those who want to participate are encouraged to pledge to ride at biketoworkday.co to help show how many Longmont commuters are making the choice to bicycle. Every pledge counts!

 

Bike to Work Day is an annual event organized by Way to Go, a program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments in partnership with eight regional transportation management associations.  To find a bicycle route that you can consider taking to your destination, use the Way to Go route finder.  Bike to Work Day is designed to inspire and support commuters to bike to work, helping them save money on their commutes, improve their health and lower stress levels while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.
