Join Longmont’s own Bonnie & Taylor Sims as they gather singer-songwriter friends (new and old) for an intimate evening of original American roots music accompanied by some conversation on the fine art of songwriting.
Chris Daniels has been recording and performing since 1970, first with Colorado’s first jam band, Magic Music, and now with Chris Daniels & the Kings. They’ve toured Europe 21 times, recorded 15 albums and are in the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.
Mollie O’Brien and her husband, guitarist Rich Moore, have for nearly 30 years quietly made it their mission to find, mine and reinvent other artists’ songs. They are geniuses at the craft of interpretation in the way that great singers, since the beginning of popular American music, have made the songs of their era their own. As songwriters they add their own tunes to the canon of American roots music they inhabit and show us they’re completely at home with their musical selves.
Hazel Royer is a Boston musician that primarily is an upright bassist, guitarist, and singer. She plays a variety of styles including Folk, Jazz, Old-Time, Bluegrass, Rock, and Blues. Hazel is currently a member of the acclaimed bluegrass group Big Richard. She grew up playing folk and bluegrass music in the Boston music scene with her father, Eric Royer.
