Join Longmont’s own Bonnie & Taylor Sims as they gather up some singer-songwriter friends (new and old) for an intimate evening of original music and conversation on the fine art of songwriting.
Paloma Rose is an internationally performing jazz vocalist and bassist that’s influenced by the mysticism and color of the American Southwest. She paints with her music with Indigenous, Spanish, and Anglo roots. Paloma’s professional musical career began in her teenage years when she worked as a sound engineer at Denver’s iconic Dazzle Jazz Club. Paloma attended MSU Denver’s Jazz Performance program where she studied under today’s leading jazz voices. Today, she continues to shape the next generation of musicians as a private teacher of voice, bass, piano, and cello. Her presence in the Colorado jazz community runs deep. Rose’s performances have graced KUVO Jazz Radio, KGNU Radio, Denver 7 News, Westword, and MSU Red News; which speaks to her growing presence as both artist and community leader. At the heart of Paloma Rose’s work is a belief that music is sacred medicine—a tool for healing, transformation, and radical joy. Whether guiding students or commanding the stage, she invites listeners into a shared space of vulnerability and power, urging them to feel deeply, listen closely, and connect to something greater than themselves.
Saja Butler is old Southern roots Music wrapped up in a crispy, sex’d up, Blackneck shell. Birthed down South and living in Colorado, her sound emits tones of sultry smoky seduction, airy breezy hope, and downright dirty sass. She’s been playing Music since a kid and has honed her craft in her solo career, and her studio, Urban Monk Studios. Uplifting herself and others with the Gift of Music is why she is here.
Jessica Carson is a multi-faceted character. As the founder and songwriter for Clandestine Amigo, as well as the Program Director for the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, she had been called the Mullet of the Music Scene “business in the front, party in the back”. Jessica spent 10 years in a duo called The Prairie Scholars and organized the music for multiple venues and community events during that time including ArtWalk Longmont, Longmont Live, Longmont Songwriter Festival and most recently the Winter Walkabout Music Showcase and The Soundpost Sessions. Her newest endeavors at the Chamber of Commerce and Clandestine Amigo are now her main focuses. She was a finalist in the 2019 Wildflower! Art & Music Festival Al Johnson Songwriter Competition and received an honorable mention in the 2019 Telluride Troubadour Contest.
