The City of Longmont will host its third annual GIS Day Celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Aspen Room at the St. Vrain Memorial Building. Longmont will join hundreds of organizations worldwide to celebrate the impactful work of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

GIS is a dynamic tool that enables cities to map, analyze, and interpret data for better decision-making and efficient resource management. By leveraging GIS, municipalities like Longmont can enhance public services, improve emergency response, support sustainable urban planning for a more resilient community and much more.

At GIS Day, you can engage with the City of Longmont GIS team and ask questions about the work, the tools and the role that the GIS department plays for the City. Come see the work that Longmont’s GIS department does to aid in city planning, development, mapping and more.
