Concert in the Park: The Reminders
Thursday, June 18 · 7 pm - 8:30 pm Carr Park 1301 21st Ave., Longmont, Colorado 90501
The Longmont Museum takes the show on the road with a special, free pop-up concert in Carr Park in celebration of Juneteenth featuring The Reminders. The band seamlessly blends razor sharp rhythms and raw, soulful vocals with reggae-tinged hip-hop beats to highlight their relevant and inspiring messages.
Lawn chairs and picnics are welcome, kids and families, too! Stop by our Museum tent where concessions (including cold drinks) will be available for sale. If you’re looking for something more substantial, we’ll have a food truck, too, featuring the Louisiana inspired cuisine of Chef Redd’s Taste Bud Bullies.
The Reminders are a rare and remarkable musical duo that seamlessly blends soulful sounds and roots music with insightful messages and thoughtful lyrics. Brussels-born emcee Big Samir and Queens-born emcee and vocalist Aja Black are together a collective creative force that’s hard to beat. With a unique mashup of razor-sharp rhymes, raw vocals, and reggae-tinged beats, The Reminders take their Hip-Hop foundation and move it beyond genre, time, and space to create a global musical experience for audiences of all ages.
