The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra is a traditional 18-piece big band; 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, piano, guitar, bass, drums, and one of the finest jazz singers in the country, Deborah Stafford. Nothing beats the romance and excitement of the Big Bands. We authentically recreate the great Swing-Era music of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Buddy Rich, and more. Our ultimate goal of to have fun, because that great satisfaction comes from creating great art. And when the people are dancing and clapping and cheering us on, it just doesn’t get any better than that.
