Join Acoma Gaither, Associate Curator or Black History at History Colorado as she speaks about the history of Lincoln Hills and the expanded exhibit at History Colorado Center. Lincoln Hills was a recreational resort in the Colorado mountains for African Americans during the early 20th century when many resorts and mountain locations were closed to them due to segregation and racism. The resort was one of the largest west of the Mississippii at the time of its creation in 1922. The resort hosted luminaries from the African American community.
