Longmont NLS: HOA Board Member Basics

Many neighbors volunteer to serve on HOA boards or help lead neighborhood groups to support their communities. These roles are rewarding, but they also come with important duties and responsibilities that may not be clear at first. Some responsibilities come from governing documents, group guidelines, city policies, or state law.

This Neighborhood Leadership Series class explains the duties of HOA board members and neighborhood group leaders in clear, practical terms. The session is facilitated by our partners at Altitude Community Law, who bring experience working with community associations and neighborhood leaders. You’ll learn what is expected of you, how to meet those responsibilities, and how to avoid common issues. The class is useful for new leaders and a valuable refresher for experienced board members and neighborhood volunteers.
