Native American Heritage Month Celebration

Join Longmont’s Native American Heritage Month Celebration – a free event open to the public of all ages.
Scheduled activities:
- 10:30 am Doors Open
- 11 am – 12 pm Opening Blessing and Land Acknowledgement
- 12 pm Community Meal (until food runs out)
- 12:30 – 1:30 pm Rocky Mountain Indigenous Dancers
- 1:45 – 2:45 Elder Exchange Video Premiere and Panel Discussion AND Children’s Storytime
- 3 – 3:30 pm Storytelling
- 3:30 – 4 pm Community Reflection and Closing
There will also be arts and crafts at the Senior Center and a Northern Arapaho Tee Pee Expo in Roosevelt Park from noon to 3:30 pm.
“This celebration is about coming together as neighbors to honor Native voices, traditions, and stories,” said Longmont Children, Youth and Families Community Coordinator Jenny Diaz-Leon. “It’s a chance for families and community members to learn, share, and celebrate the beauty and strength of Native American cultures.”
