The Longmont Senior Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Tuesday, November 17 with a day-long open house celebration, including presentations, an ice cream social and more. Details include:
- A welcome lunch will be held from 11:30-1:30, featuring presentations, including:
- Museum staff sharing Longmont artifacts, 1976-2026
- Library staff highlighting historical highlights, 1976-2026
- Screenings will be offered throughout the day of “Where We Meet: Stories of Healing and Hope,” an inspiring 17-minute video that highlights the story of Longmont’s historic Elder Exchange with members of the Northern Arapaho tribe from the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming
- Galleries will display historic Go catalogs and Senior Center artifacts
- An ice cream social, complete with cake and music will be provided in the afternoon
- Additional surprises
