Do you love to read but struggle to find the time? Once a month this winter, the Library invites you to slow down and enjoy a peaceful evening of quiet connection and reading. The Library Meeting Rooms will transform into a cozy retreat space for you and like-minded book lovers. Please bring a comfy chair (camp chairs work well—we’ll have a few extras if you forget) and a book. We’ll provide warm drinks, light snacks, and a Library cart of staff picks if you’re looking for something new. Plan to arrive at 6 pm to settle in, say hi, and get a drink. Silent reading runs from 6:15 to 7 pm. Participants can leave right at 7, or stay for an optional 15 minutes of socializing at the end of the program. To help us keep the space calm and focused, we ask that you arrive no later than 6:10. This is a drop-in event for readers ages 18 and up.
