Summer Solstice Kiki Ball
Saturday, June 21 · 6 pm - 9 pm Longmont Museum 400 Quail Rd., Longmont, CO 80501

Part performance, part runway, and part dance competition, Kiki emerged from New York City’s ballroom scene in the 1970s as an underground subculture founded by Black and Latino LGBTQ+ people. It has since turned into a global phenomenon with performances held from Paris to Tokyo. In celebration of PRIDE Month, the Museum joins forces with Rocky Mountain Equality to present this celebration of queer identity and the summer solstice featuring prominent Kiki performers from the Greater Denver Metro Area. Ages 18 and over.Â
Kiki is more than entertainment—its history is formed out of radical resistance to homophobia, transphobia and racism. It was created out of struggle.
