Teen Art Exploration: Block Printing

Join us in the Teen Room to try out new art forms. No experience necessary. This is a great opportunity to learn something new, socialize with other makers, and make a cool project to take home!
September 24, 6-7pm: Bundle Dyeing
We’ll talk about different dyes that come from plants and things you can find in your kitchen. Then we’ll use different materials from plants to decorate bandanas.
October 22, 6-7pm: Block Printing
We’ll learn about surface design with inks. Participants can design and carve their own stamp, which they can then stamp on paper or fabric. Participants can take their stamp home to reuse for other projects.

24 de septiembre, 6:00-7:00: Teñido con plantas
Hablaremos sobre diferentes tintes que provienen de plantas y cosas que puedes encontrar en tu cocina. Luego, usaremos diferentes materiales de plantas para decorar pañuelos.
22 de octubre, 6:00-7:00: Impresión con bloques
Aprenderemos sobre diseño de superficies con tintas. Los participantes pueden diseñar y tallar su propio sello, que luego pueden estampar en papel o tela. Pueden llevarse su sello a casa para reutilizarlo en otros proyectos.
