Workshop: What is Vision Zero? – Safer Speeds

Wednesday, Nov. 18 · 6 pm - 7:30 pm
Longmont Senior Center 910 Longs Peak Ave., Longmont, CO 80501
A tree-lined city street with traffic lights and cars in both directions, divided by a landscaped median planted with grasses. A lamppost in the median holds a yellow pedestrian crossing sign with an arrow pointing toward the crosswalk. Five colored square icons span the image, representing the Safe System elements: safer people (cyclist, pedestrian, driver, and wheelchair user) in navy, safer speeds (speedometer) in green, safer vehicles (motorcycle, car, bus, truck) in blue, safer roads (road) in tan, and post-crash care (ambulance) in orange.

Curious about Vision Zero and how speeds impacts safety?

Join us to learn about Vision Zero and the effort to reduce serious and fatal crashes in Longmont to zero by 2040.

During this free educational workshop, we’ll explore why safer speeds matter and learn about street design, the role of education, and enforcement.
