Quail Campus Community Park

Community Park Hours: 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The City of Longmont was gifted the land that comprises Quail Campus by Donald Baker as part of a larger annexation to the City. The 44-acre parcel of land includes a 10 tennis court complex and 18 developed acres where the Longmont Recreation Center and Museum and Cultural Center are located.

Future plans for undeveloped portions of the property were developed as part of a public process completed in 2007. A master plan update was completed in 2013. Find more information below and on the Parks & Trails Development webpage.

Several Art in Public Places projects can be found at Quail Campus and were dedicated in 2002 at the completion of the Quail Campus construction project. “Feather Flight,” found along the pond’s edge, is a kinetic sculpture by George Peters and Melanie Walker, who also created “Airplay,” which is hung inside the Longmont Recreation Center. “Lefthand’s Compass,” by Zoe Strecker, is also found near the pond. Water flows down the sides of this sculpture with Native American images included in the piece. “Hidden Paths, Unseen Trails,” by Kathy Bradford is located inside the Museum and Cultural Center.

Dogs are allowed on leash, please pick up after your pet.
