The Library has a Lost and Abandoned Items policy in accordance with Longmont Municipal Code. Items are kept in a secure area accessed by staff only. If we are able to identify the owner of the lost or abandoned item (e.g. wallet, keys, etc.), we contact the patron and hold the item for them. Unidentified items are kept for 30 days and then donated to local shelters. Please inquire about your lost items at the Information Desk in the Library Lobby.

Under the City's policy governing behavior at City facilities, the Library is required to keep a current list of all items that have been abandoned or found on Library property.  Items deemed of minimal value (less than $10) are not included on the lists below. Examples of such items include bookmarks, hair ties, etc.
