LONGMONT, CO, November 7, 2023- The City of Longmont recently recognized the 2023-2024 members of the Sustainable Business Program. In total, 57 businesses were certified in the program, including a variety of restaurants, offices, retailers, and more. Of the 57 businesses, over 50% are minority-owned and almost 30% are woman-owned.

The recognition event saw 55 people in attendance, including the mayor, and was an excellent chance for business owners to enjoy the fruits of their sustainable labor. The celebration was a zero waste event with no resulting trash or recycling, and only three pounds of compost produced. Overall a great success for the City’s Sustainable Business Program!

La Ciudad de Longmont recientemente reconoció a los miembros del Programa de Negocios Sustentables de 2023-2024. En total, 57 negocios fueron certificados en el programa, incluyendo una variedad de restaurantes, oficinas, tiendas pequeñas, y muchos más. De los 57 negocios, más del 50% son propiedad de minorías y casi el 30% son propiedad de mujeres.

Al evento de reconocimiento asistieron 55 personas, incluyendo la alcaldesa, y fue una oportunidad excelente para que los dueños de negocios disfrutaran de los resultados de su trabajo sustentable. La celebración fue un evento de desperdicio cero, sin basura ni reciclaje, y solo se produjeron tres libras de compostaje. En general, ¡un gran éxito para el Programa de Negocios Sustentables de la ciudad!
