A New House
A New House
Moving days are always SUCH fun!
Well, except for packing things into cardboard boxes. And trying to maneuver an overloaded truck on the road. And taking ibuprofen for your spinal column afterward. And … you know what? Maybe there’s a reason they say that two moves equals one fire.
But when you have everything unpacked and in place, and the home is shiny and new, that’s a feeling you just can’t beat. And when that move occurs on social media, where you don’t have to handle a single roll of packing tape, it’s even better.
Right, NextLight fans?
If you’ve been watching our Facebook space for a while, you’ve noticed that it looks a little different than before. The former Longmont Power & Communications – NextLight page is now simply the Longmont Power & Communications page. NextLight, like so many college students at this time of year, has moved out of LPC’s virtual house and now has a Facebook page of its very own.
So why the split? Well, a lot has happened since we started our Facebook page eight years ago. NextLight’s grown up into one of the fastest ISPs in the nation, a community-owned internet service that serves more than 25,000 homes and businesses. And LPC still has plenty going on as it continues its 110-year history of reliable service, whether it’s as simple as a bonus for refrigerator recycling or as far-reaching as a citywide meter upgrade.
In other words, we’ve both got a lot to say. And now we’ve each got more room to say it. That’s pretty exciting.
So feel free to visit both our pages anytime. We’ll keep the porch light on.
Just watch out for the cardboard.
