Meet Master of Horror, Stephen Graham Jones
Meet Master of Horror, Stephen Graham Jones
“It’s just the garbage in/garbage out trick. If you’re not taking any fiction in, good or bad, then how can you be spitting any back out (good or bad)? I can’t even imagine trying to write without reading. Really, I can hardly write a novel at all if I’m not reading just book after book.” – Stephen Graham Jones
The Longmont Public Library invites you to an intimate author talk with New York Times bestselling writer Stephen Graham Jones on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 2:30–4:30 pm at the Longmont Museum. A Q&A will follow, moderated by ZBassSpeaks, Poet Laureate for the City of Lafayette.

Jones, a member of the Blackfeet Nation and a celebrated voice in contemporary horror, is the author of nearly 35 works of fiction. His bestselling novel “The Only Good Indians” received the Ray Bradbury Prize for Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Speculative Fiction, and his most recent works—including “My Heart Is a Chainsaw” and “Don’t Fear the Reaper”—have cemented his place as one of today’s most inventive and powerful literary storytellers.
Stephen Graham Jones is a Professor of Distinction in English at the University of Colorado Boulder. He regularly participates in literary festivals, conferences, and author events across the country. Engagements include the National Book Festival, the Brooklyn Book Festival, and the Telluride Horror Show.
Jones is as engaging in person as he is on the page. He is a warm, funny, and thoughtful speaker. Hear him discuss horror, fiction, and his passion for the writing process.
