Alley Maintenance Necessary After Wet Spring

This year’s very moist spring contributed to overgrowth in alleyways that now need extra attention and maintenance. If you live on a block with an alley, please trim back trees and shrubs so City service vehicles can safely access the area. Per Longmont municipal code, trees should be trimmed to 15 feet clearance off the ground.

Cleaned alleyways provide safe and efficient access for utility lines, stormwater and drainage maintenance, as well as composting, recycling and trash collection services. Maintained alleys also provide easy access to police and fire services and to residents with alley-facing garages.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our City services running safely and effectively.

The Employment Opportunities, Vendor and Employee Self Service portal applications will be down for system maintenance starting Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 at 6 pm through Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 at noon. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience.
