The City Manager of the City of Longmont is currently accepting applications for volunteer positions on the Longmont Department of Public Safety Professional Standards Review Panel. The Professional Standards Review Panel reviews highly confidential information, including internal investigations and allegations of misconduct, and makes findings to the Public Safety Chief.
Special Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be able to read and comprehend large investigations in order to make appropriate findings.
- Be an eligible voter of the City of Longmont.
- Submit to fingerprint-based background checks and have no misdemeanor convictions in the past five years or any felony convictions ever.
- Not be current employees of any law enforcement agency, or immediate family members of Longmont Public Safety Department employees.
- If selected, complete training required to comply with the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) requirements administered by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Openings
- Five regular member citizen terms ending December 31, 2029
- Five alternate member citizen terms ending December 31, 2027

Applications must be turned into the City Clerk’s Office, located at 350 Kimbark Street, by 5 pm on Friday, September 5, 2025.
