Attention all stargazers! The Longmont Public Library invites you to Astronomy: Exploring Other Worlds, a free, interactive slideshow presented by Boulder County Parks & Open Space on Thursday, February 13, from 6-7:30 pm. The event will be held in the Library Meeting Rooms.
Join us for a fascinating talk about the stars, moons, and planets in our galaxy. You’ll learn about the latest discoveries in space and what new things scientists are exploring in the universe. Whether you’re an experienced stargazer or just a beginner, this presentation will deepen your understanding and appreciation of our night sky.
A key highlight of the evening will be a discussion of the upcoming planetary parade happening on Friday, February 28. Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars will align in a straight line, offering a rare display visible in Longmont. Learn tips on how, when and where best to view this special occurrence.
