Healing from a dark past
Born in the Netherlands during WWII under the shadow of her father’s Nazi SS past, Andrea van de Loo endured childhood trauma that shaped the course of her life. Her journey from pain to purpose carried her across continents—from the ashrams of India to the coastal beauty of Santa Cruz—where she found healing, embraced spirituality, and became a healer herself.
Now 83, Andrea shares her extraordinary story in The Pressing Stones: The Healing Journey of a Nazi’s Daughter, a memoir spanning eight decades. It’s a powerful exploration of family secrets, generational trauma, spirituality, addiction recovery, and the enduring impact of war—woven together with a message of resilience and hope.
Andrea’s talk offers an intimate glimpse into life in India’s spiritual communities and an inspiring reminder that even our deepest wounds can lead to profound transformation.
Books will be available for purchase, and Andrea will sign copies after her presentation.
