Electricity or Lightning picture

By The Power of NextLight!

OK, who here remembers He-Man?

Judging by the chuckles and guilty smiles, I’m guessing a fair number recall the ‘80s favorite pseudo-medieval superhero. The raised sword – the sudden transformation into a muscleman in furry trunks – and the booming reverb of the words “I HAVE THE POWER!!”

Electricity or Lightning pictureWell, we didn’t give a magic sword to Longmont Startup Week. But otherwise, it’s more or less right.

The 2019 edition of Longmont Startup Week is getting into full swing, running from July 22 through July 26. And just like last year, we’re providing NextLight’s symmetrical gigabit service for the week to their base camp at CoSolve, 350 Terry St. Which means that once again, budding entrepreneurs will be able to plug into the fiber-optic internet service that’s one of the country’s finest.

Why does that matter? Because these days, good business needs a good internet connection. High-speed uploads and downloads are vital for graphic design, for medical imaging, for video conferencing and more. (And that’s not to mention the telephone options that a company has with Digital Voice, as well.)

This isn’t an unusual position for us. For over 100 years, LPC has literally empowered businesses with affordable and reliable electric service – in fact, we currently have the second-lowest electric rates for large commercial businesses and the third-lowest for small commercial in the state of Colorado. (Out of 57 utilities!)  Add to that the wide range of possibilities that NextLight provides, and it can transform a business.

Check out Longmont Startup Week’s schedule. And if you get a chance to drop by a CoSolve session, go ahead and try out our fiber. But be careful. Once you have the power, you might not want to let it go.

Furry trunks not included.
