The City of Longmont is pleased to announce that Ronnie Maynes is the new Senior Services Manager. Ronnie’s first day at the Senior Center was December 27, 2022.
 
Before accepting this position with the City of Longmont, Ronnie was an educator. He taught Physical Education and Health and served as a school administrator in the St Vrain Valley School District. He also has a long history with the City of Longmont, serving as the Director of Summer Camp Operations for the past 9 years. Ronnie earned his Bachelor of Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver and his Master from American College of Education. He is currently perusing his Doctorate at the University of Colorado Denver.

“I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve as the new Senior Services Manager supporting an amazing team that provides a high quality program,” Ronnie said. “I look forward to being an advocate for our senior community, by working to ensure that their needs are met.”

When asked for comment, Longmont Recreation’s Suellen Dabney said, “Ronnie brings with him experience connecting with others that was demonstrated within his involvement with the Longmont Summer Day Camp. From a staffing structure that ensured each staff member was familiar with each of the 200+ campers, to a personal commitment to meeting and forming relationships with each family attending, Ronnie is hands on in getting to know people and their needs.”

We are excited to celebrate his 10th year with the City and his first year in this new position. Welcome, Ronnie!
