Citywide Spring Street Sweeping Deferred

UPDATED: The City of Longmont has deferred the annual citywide street sweeping operation to remove dirt, debris and pollutants that build up during the winter months. It will be rescheduled at a later time.

Each spring, the City of Longmont conducts a citywide street sweeping operation to remove dirt, debris and pollutants that build up during the winter months. The City sweeps over 350 centerline miles of streets and removes tons of debris and contaminants annually from the streets that would otherwise, pollute our air and rivers.

Scheduled sweeping dates are as follows, with the possibility for a third week if necessary:

  • DEFERRED; WILL BE RESCHEDULED Week of April 20: All streets that receive Wednesday and Thursday waste collection services.
  • DEFERRED; WILL BE RESCHEDULED Week of April 27: All streets that receive Monday and Tuesday waste collection services.

Keeping the roadway in front of your house free of large objects and obstructions is the best way to assist street sweeping crews’ clean-up efforts.
