Clover Meadows Neighborhood Park Grand Opening Celebration

Clover Meadows Neighborhood park, Longmont’s newest park, will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday, November 2,  from 9-11 am. The event will have a fall theme, with free apples and cider, and will feature City Manager Harold Dominguez cutting the ribbon, a scavenger hunt and more. In addition to assorted snacks and prizes, there will also be breakfast burritos for the first 50 guests.

The fully accessible new park is located at 4850 Heatherhill Street in southwest Longmont. A few of its amenities include:

  • An apple orchard
  • A bicycle skills course
  • A large playground featuring age-appropriate play for kids aged 2-5 and 5-12
  • Sand play
  • A reservable shelter
  • Restrooms
  • A bicycle-themed Art in Public Places installation
  • A large lawn for recreation, and
  • A nature path seeded with a native grass and flower mix

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of Longmont’s first new park since the Dickens Farm Nature Area debuted in 2020,” said David Bell, Longmont’s director of Parks and Natural Resources. “Clover Meadows Park is a neighborhood park designed to serve the local community. It stands out with Longmont’s first bike playground, our second city-owned apple orchard, and a large, fully accessible playground with sand play. We believe Clover Meadows Park will be a fantastic addition to our City’s park landscape, offering unique recreational opportunities for all residents.”

Guests attending the grand opening are encouraged to arrive on bicycles to maximize parking spots for the special event.
