A powerful and timely documentary that celebrates the essential role of public libraries in our communities is coming to Longmont. It’s full of stories, history, and moments of pure fun. The film is called Free for All: The Public Library. It will be screened at the Council Chambers on Thursday, May 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
Through heartfelt interviews and historical context, Free for All illustrates how libraries uphold democratic ideals and serve as vital gathering places—especially during times of social and political change. It also presents libraries as fun places to be, and safe places to connect and learn.
