Exterior renovations will begin September 18, 2024 on the Firehouse Art Center, located at 667 4th Avenue in Longmont. Work will include rehabilitation and restoration of the windows, doors, and trim along with new paint, and lighting.

The building will remain open during construction and programming should not be impacted. The work may occasionally impact the sidewalk around 4th and Coffman; when this occurs signage will direct any detours.

“We’re very excited that this work is getting started,” said Firehouse Art Center Executive Director Elaine Waterman. “The improvements will be very welcome and we’re delighted that the City shares our concerns that all additions remain sympathetic to the historic nature of the building.”

Work is anticipated to be completed in early 2025.
