The City of Longmont is planning a full closure of S. Francis Street at the intersection of Boston Avenue on October 22 from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. If necessary, these closures may be extended between 3:30 pm – 6 pm. There will be flaggers on site to help direct traffic at the Boston Avenue and S. Francis intersection between 7:30 am – 8:30 am and 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm.

River Road will also be closed to through traffic from Barnard Court to S. Francis Street during these times. Local access will be maintained on Barnard Court. S. Francis Street will remain open from Price Road to River Road. Travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes including S. Sunset Street, Nelson Road, and Price Road.

The closures are required to install new pavement on the south half of the bridge for Phase 2 of the Boston Avenue Bridge Reconstruction project. Current project information and traffic impacts can be found on the Boston Avenue Bridge Reconstruction Project webpage.
